Life in the shelter is multifaceted. For some animals, it represents hope as they have been wandering hungry or removed from negligent situations. For other animals, it represents loss as they've been relinquished by a family who can no longer care for them or they are recently lost and very confused as they wandered too far from home.
Ensuring that all pets have the most comfortable and safe experience in the shelter has always been a priority for ARF. We believe in enrichment activities in kennels, access to play groups and socialization.
To support this, we collect donations to support enrichment supplies and recruit volunteers for the shelter.
Check out our special Enrichment Amazon Wishlist to donate supplies to the shelter. You can help provide enrichment toys to prevent kennel boredom or comfortable leashes and harnesses so volunteers can walk shelter dogs!
